VVSC 4 Salisbury United White 1

In terrible conditions for the spectators , we came up against Salisbury United .

Kelechi got off the mark scoring his first goal of the season,.

Not long after we were awarded a free kick just outside the box which Kelechi stepped up and took with quite easy and just chipped it over the wall too get his 2nd goal of the game .

Mico game back on after taking a knock to play up front and with some good work laid the ball onto
Zane whom hit his shot on target with the ball just creeping thru the keeper for his 1st of the season.

Sals United got one back before after time with a surging run down our right side to score.

3-1 half time .

Some great work between Meagan and Kelechi with Meagan laying the ball on for Kelechi to just slot it past the on coming keeper to make it 4-1 .HAT-TRICK Kelechi.

In only Kelechi's 2nd came of competitive football to score a hat-trick well done Kelechi.

Sas United again got one back which was almost a carbon copy of their first goal this time only down our left side to make it 4-2.

Fantastic effort from both sets of players considering Salisbury United only had 9 players they never complained or gave up.

VVSC v’s One Tree Hill 2-1

Awesome game, after we were down 0-1 and getting badly outplayed the team fought back and turned the game around, and to score in final minutes was outstanding.

There was a sense right from the start that this week this team would be strong from the first whistle and the team did not disappoint. Every player on the team knew their position and role to play and each player played their role to a very high standard and as such we completely dominated this game. Crisp passing and accurate crossing and good finishing combined with fair and efficient tackling and dribbling were the order of the day and it did not take long for the goals to start coming. I ran out of fingers and could not access my toes and so, like most parents, lost count of the actual number of goals and could not remember the order that the goals were scored but there were 15 of them.  Hard to believe but true!

The half time score was 9 to nil our way and as a contest the game was well and truly over but to the boys and the opposition's credit both teams continued to try and win the ball. 6 more goals were to go our way to result in the final score of 15 to nil.

Antonio starred with 6 goals; Joshua also starred with 5; Trent scored a hat-trick with 3 and Tom scored one.  All the goals were sensational. Although the goal scorers deserve the spoils of victory every single player on the team (and even those watching from the sidelines who had to miss this week's game due to our need to roster players) did their part.  The defence did not have a lot to do but when challenges came they met them with strength and skill and Nathan; Trent; DJ and Liam were each and collectively outstanding.  Not to forget Darcy in goals who saved anything that came his way and ensured nothing got through.  Daniel, Josh, Tom, Nick and Amir all regularly crossed and passed balls to good position making the job of finishing off the goals that much easier.

Goalscorers: Antonio (6); Joshua G (5); Trent (3) and Tom (1).
